Review: Was at brunch in this amazing resort. The food is excellent but the thing that sets this resort apart are the staff and their commitment to a high level of customer service. In particular George 1 and George 2 (the 2 Georges). My girlfriend is gluten-free and they’re understanding has been amazing.

Review: I recently stayed at Mitsis Alila Hotel in Rhodes, Greece, and while the facilities were generally nice, there were some aspects of my stay that left much to be desired, especially as a vegan guest. Firstly, the buffet did not offer any vegan options. Every time I wanted a vegan dish, I had to request the kitchen to prepare something specifically for me. Unfortunately, the dishes they did prepare lacked balance, particularly in terms of protein and essential nutrients. It felt as though the meals were made just to check a box rather than with any real care or attention. To make matters worse, there were no vegan desserts available at all, which made me feel overlooked as a guest with dietary restrictions. The room we stayed in had a private pool, which was a nice touch, but the mosquito problem was unbearable. We were bitten throughout the night, making it difficult to enjoy the room or the pool area. It would be great if the hotel could address this issue. On the positive side, the snack bar offered a vegan pizza, which was a pleasant surprise. In summary, while the hotel itself had its perks, my overall experience was hindered by the lack of thoughtful vegan food options and the mosquito issue. I hope Mitsis takes this feedback into consideration to better accommodate future vegan guests.
