Review: We live about an hour and a half away from Nebo and if we were any closer, this would easily become a once-a-week (minimum) situation. Possibly a “they know my order when I walk in” type of problem. We came in for my birthday, and right from the start, Nebo just gets it. Before being seated they asked if we needed a gluten-free menu. We’re not gluten-free, but I had already seen online that they offer a full gluten-free menu not just a sad little corner of options, but an actual, legit version of their menu. Respect where it’s due for those that can’t eat gluten. Now let’s talk about something that doesn’t get talked about enough: comfort. As two larger bodied people, going out to eat sometimes requires a little strategy (and occasionally a prayer). This time, we forgot to note anything in our reservation, and it didn’t matter at all. Plenty of space, comfortable chairs, no awkward squeezing between tables. It was giving “relax and enjoy yourself,” not “navigate this obstacle course.” Service? Elite. Our server was friendly, on top of everything, and somehow always appeared exactly when needed. Water glasses never hit empty not once. I don’t even think they got close. On top of that, two different managers came around to check in, not just with us, but every table. It felt less like “checking a box” and more like they actually cared if you were having a good time. Now for the reason you’re really here: the food. We went in with a game plan order a bunch, share everything, and absolutely leave with leftovers. Mission accomplished. We ordered the Funghi Selvaggi, Calamari Fritti, Rigatoni all’Amatriciana, Veal Milanese, a traditional pizza, and a couple of mocktails. Not a single miss. Every dish showed up like it had something to prove. Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. And the portions? More than generous in the best way. We went from “we got this” to “we tried.” The Veal Milanese deserves its own moment my wife normally doesn’t like veal at all, and somehow this place changed her mind. Which, honestly, is great for her… but kind of unfortunate for me because it meant I had to share it. I was not emotionally prepared for that level of generosity. And the pizza… listen. We ordered one to eat at the restaurant, thinking we were making reasonable life choices. About halfway through, we looked at each other and immediately knew we needed a second one to go. No discussion, just action. So yes, we ordered a backup pizza for the next day. And let me be very clear: that pizza barely made it home. I seriously considered pulling over on the side of the highway to eat it. The only thing stopping me was the fact that it was in the trunk, and I’m only so committed. One of my favorite little details came at the very end. When the check arrived, it was clipped to a postcard with an old family photo from when Carla & Christine Pallotta were kids. It was such a simple touch, but it really tried everything together you can feel that this place is built on family, not just great food. Parking was also surprisingly painless. We parked at Atlantic Wharf Garage, and Nebo validates your ticket, so you only pay $10. In Boston, that feels like winning the lottery. All in, dinner for two on a Saturday night came out to around $250 including tip & parking, which felt completely fair for the quality, service, and the amount of food we ordered (and then ordered again). The only thing that could have made the night better? If we had been there the same night New Kids on the Block were dining there (yes, I saw it on Instagram and yes, I’m still thinking about it). Bottom line: Nebo is the real deal. Incredible food, top-tier service, thoughtful details, and an experience that makes an hour-and-a-half drive feel like nothing. I’ll absolutely be making the trip back again soon!

Review: Delicious dining experience. The food was all incredible and our server Michael was exceptional and extremely helpful with The gluten-free options. There are so many! Definitely going back.

Review: Not sure how this only has a 3 handle. Stopped here on way to train. Found they had a gluten free menu. At first was disappointed that the pizza wasn’t available until 2pm. But the zucchini lasagna spoke to me. It was one of the best vegetarian dishes I’ve had. I’m not vegetarian and it really hit the spot. A decent amount of cheese and the sauce was amazing. I can see why it’s at the top of the list and Beat Bobby Flay. Also it’s huge. Service was good as I sat at the bar. I was only there for a quick lunch. I will say it’s a bit on the expensive side at $50 for that and a glass of wine. But I thought it was good enough to charge that much. They had a decent selection of wines and a nice bar area. Will have to return for this pizza.
