Review: Disappointing Experience: Celiac-Safe Birthday Cake Fail I was truly excited to find a bakery that offered celiac-safe options, especially oatmeal cream pies. Unfortunately, my experience was far from positive. When my husband ordered a special birthday cake, we were informed the day before that there had been a mix-up and it wouldn't be ready. The lack of any apology or alternative solutions was incredibly disappointing. To make matters worse, when we finally received the cake, scones, and cinnamon rolls, they were incredibly dry and tasted as if they were several days old. As a business owner myself, I understand that mistakes happen, but the way this situation was handled was unacceptable. I had hoped to find a reliable bakery for celiac-safe treats, but based on this experience, I cannot recommend Emily Kate's.

Review: We ordered a small gluten free cake for an anniversary party and were very impressed! My mother-in-law and sister-in-law both have celiac disease and so I was very happy to find this gluten free bakery so close! The ordering experience was very easy and they were able to advise me on the size I would need based on the number of people attending. I was hopeful that the cake would be delicious for everyone, even those without dietary restrictions and it was indeed very delicious! It was also beautifully done and exactly how I had pictured! I would recommend this bakery; kind, helpful service and wonderful, delicious cake!

Review: It's all gluten-free! How do you make an exquisite pastry without gluten? I don't know either but Emily Kate's has figured it out. Their treats are so heavenly, you can expect St. Peter to hand you an Emily Kate's Carrot Ginger muffin when you get to the gate!

Review: I loved Emily Kate’s when I first became gluten free several years ago, and I still think they are the best gluten free bakery in town, but I wish they had better dairy free options, and my last experience custom ordering was a mess. When I ordered it seemed my request wasn’t read fully— the worker who responded mixed up my request for dairy free with vegan. When I did receive my order the butter substitute wasn’t fully incorporated into the icing between the layers of my cake— so I bit into some big chunks of non dairy butter. The cake part was still good, but I am not a huge fan of their buttercream in the first place, and this icing was just bad. Still the best bakery in town for gluten free but I’m hoping to see more (and better) dairy free options on the menu, and I’ll probably stick to picking things up from Whole Foods or ordering from the menu for awhile.
