Review: guys. This place is so dang good. My dad and I are two humble Texans who have never EVER heard of a completely gluten free bakery and it is safe to say our minds are completely blown. We walked in completely mind blown and the worker was so very patient with us. If you’re a person who cannot enjoy wheat and are cautiously reading reviews to see if you want to go to this bakery. Just go. What are you doing?? Get in the car. Go right now. Drive safe. Wear your seatbelt. Yield at yellow flashing lights. Stay safe fellow gluten free freaks. Don’t speed.

Review: I initially thought this was pretty good but not great. Then I found out it was gluten free (I should've guessed from the name lol) and reflecting on what I ate, its almost mindblowingly good! Of course, you're not going to get the complex textures that you normally would with gluten - this is why I was initially underwhelmed. But the flavors are top notch. Sweets were perfectly sweet and savories were pleasantly spiced and salted. Most crust had a buttery flavor to them. I bought the coffee cake just as it came out of the oven and it was heavenly (although it did have the tendancy to fall apart on first bit because - no gluten). I'm curious to see how these folks innovate. I'm pretty excited. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. A decent amount of street parking. Staff is incredibly nice. There isn't table service but they come out to check on you anyway. Very passionate when explaining options and someone even held the door for me as I walked in. Definitely coming back when I'm in the area.

Review: The delectable crust surrounding the breakfast pockets were next level. I haven't had this great of a pie crust since I stopped eating gluten, and these are as good as the best crisp buttery pie crust anywhere. The cake was also wonderful, but I find a really good gluten free crust is very hard to find. The folks working there were really seemed to love being there and exuded a chill and friendly vibe. Only dinged one star on atmosphere because there isn't a lot of room, but honestly there was plenty of seating and a clean restroom, and a great DIY sidewalk chalk hopscotch out front.

Review: I am a vegan with Celiac disease, so finding a place where I can get a good treat from a safe environment is a challenge. Last year, I discovered Hold the Wheat by accident when I had an appointment in the area. I was so excited to find my kind of food, I went a little crazy and bought anything vegan that I could find (everything is gluten free). My favorite item was the vegan Mixed Berry Sweetie Pie, which comes with a strawberry filling. They don't always have the vegan berry pie in stock, so one day I tried the regular mixed berry pie (it was worth the risk) and fell in love with it. The mixed berry pies had much more flavor to them than the strawberry pies (in my opinion), so finally I asked if they could make me a batch of vegan mixed berry pies, and they were more than happy to accommodate my request. Today I picked up a dozen vegan mixed berry pies, and with great willpower, there are still some left. Maybe they will become a regular item on the menu???
