Review: I have many food allergies including needing to be gluten free. Mindful Baking Cafe Chicago to the rescue! Even though I don't need to be vegan, Diane, the owner of the bakery makes her own mixes that I eat and tolerate well all the time. My husband and I fell in love with her donuts while we were dating and knew we had to have them at our wedding. We got 6 different flavors including: red velvet, chocolate, powdered sugar, brown sugar cinnamon, strawberry, and apple cider. Everyone loved them! We would have used her for our cake as well but fell in love with another bakery for that. We highly recommend Mindful Baking regardless!

Review: Whatever you do, do not stop here for gluten-free... One of the worst bakeries I've ever tried. Carrot cake is my absolute favorite dessert..Not here! It tastes salty, so dense in texture, the frosting leaves an oily texture on your tongue. It's gross🤢 Take a look at the pictures. I only took two bites and the rest of it went in the trash. No offense but for $8...what a waste. Cheese cake is my second favorite dessert... Unfortunately again not here! The crust was a consistency of melted chocolate. The actual cheesecake component was a really weird texture. Nothing like I've ever had. It also lacked sugar. It was so salty as well. Just don't do it. It also went right in the trash and again for being so expensive it's just not worth it. You can also see pictures.. The girl behind the counter was really nice and recommended the gluten-free brownie as her favorite. It's the best of the three items. But it is also not good.. It's super dense and definitely has the brownie texture but lacks flavor. Looks like chocolate but doesn't taste like chocolate. So all together I spent almost $30 today and took five bites and everything went in the trash. Save your money!!! There are way better bakeries that are gluten-free and vegan in the city. Also beware if you have Celiac as to they use predominantly oat flour. If you have celiac, oat flour is not considered gluten-free even if it is in a gluten-free facility. Again, I would just take your business elsewhere. Definitely read through the reviews because everyone is saying the exact same thing! This Baker might have been good before covid But definitely is not good now.. or we need to reevaluate some recipes... Everything lacks sweetness and sugar. You should change your concept to sugar-free. So bummed because this is a great concept in a great neighborhood and the gluten-free bakeries are really hard to find. But unfortunately this one missed the mark! I can bake way better pastries myself.
