My kids just spent a week here, and they had the time of their lives! As a mom of celiac kids, finding safe places for them to have "normal" experiences is a challenge, and Camp Celiac took the challenge right out of it for us. Kids came home absolutely raving about the food, the counsellors, the games and activities, the so gs they learned and made up, and the friends they made. I can't imagine a better experience.

UPDATE: My daughters (1 celiac, 1 not) just got home after an AMAZING week at Camp Celiac. They are raving about how much fun they had and singing the songs and taking about new friends. I am thrilled that my celiac kiddo got a chance to connect with other kids with celiac and that she could have a competely normal camp experience without feeling left out or even thinking about food. I'm also thrilled that they could both go. I really hope the two-week gluten-free camp runs next year - they both want to stay longer next time! Thank you SO MUCH Camp Davern and Camp Celiac for an amazing experience for my kids. We found out last month that our daughter has celiac. I was feeling really stressed about how her experience at overnight camp was going to go this summer as her first experience having to eat different food than others in a group setting. Then camp got cancelled because of COVID and she was so disappointed. THEN someone told us about this place - an hour from our house, no less - and she is over-the-moon excited! It's a summer camp in eastern Ontario piloting a program where they go gluten free for the last two weeks in August. Anyone can go, whether they have celiac or not - but my kiddo won't have to think about the food at all. My non-celiac kid is going as well and they have both looked through the whole website and are thrilled about all the different activities. I absolutely love this initiative and am so grateful that she can have an amazing camp experience without having to think about food or be "different" in any way.

My son is pretty excited to head here this summer. We visited the camp last summer and got some great information on how the camp will be 100% celiac for 2021. I have a good feeling he will enjoy himself.

Being gluten free myself, I am so excited for kids that are gluten free to experience this awesome camp!
