Review: Sorry for the previous review! I confused you with another bakery. Really delicious lemon cake! The tarts were good, too. Reading the reviews it looks like they were gluten free, which we didn’t even notice! If that’s the case, this is heaven (outside of Paris) for all celiacs!

Review: Great find on a trip to Lyon, surprisingly doesn’t come up a lot when searching gluten free on google. So I’m going to mention it here so it’s easier to search. Gluten free, sans gluten free, coeliac, GF food Lyon. Definitely has more cake style pastries and cookies rather than classic pan un chocolate etc.

Review: Absolutely wonderful find in what was generally a really difficult city for anyone with intolerances or allergies to gluten and dairy. Very very easy to spend €30 on 4 delicious gateaux, a bag of chouquettes and an individual gallette de rois. All delicious and completely unidentifiable as gluten and dairy free! We walked to the river and sat in the sun with our purchases and a very nice coffee made by the lovely lady behind the counter. Will definitely be back on my next trip to Lyon.

Review: What a surprise Chez Grégoire was! I walked past, noticing that this place was new since my last visit. Lots of 5-star reviews so I figured I needed to give this place a try. Without knowing it was a gluten free shop I stopped in, used my best French, and had a couple treats after a hike up to the church. The lemon tart had a nice fresh citrus taste and a pleasant crust. The chocolate buchette was at first decadent and then it was lightened by the filling in the middle...which I believe was apple?!? An odd combination, but one that worked well and ensured that the chocolate did not overpower the palate. Interesting spot that I enjoyed and hope that others also try. Leave it to the French to make gluten free actually taste good! I would never had known the difference if I wasn't told.
