Review: I have been gluten free my entire life, this bakery makes the best gluten free bread that I have ever had. The bread is amazing and so is the pan de muerto, both are absolutely delicious. One of the reasons that I would come back to Mexico City would be for this bread.

Review: Hands down the best gluten free sour dough bread in all my travels. The owners are lovely and cheerful. The pastries not over sweetened and delicious too. But that sourdough loaf……is the best sourdough bread I have ever had!!!

Review: Some great selection of Gluten Free cakes, maybe some of the best I found in Mexico. I had planned to dine in to try the menu items, but when I arrived, the cafe was quiet with the two staff sitting quietly at the counter and you could hear a pin drop. I don't mind being the only customer in a venue, but without any music or talking, I decided to get take out instead. I imagine I visited at an off-peak time, but regardless of what time you choose to go, I definitely recommend still visiting as the quality is great.

Review: Wow!!! If you’re in Mexico City and looking for amazing baked goods that are actually healthy, you MUST drop by Chokolat Pimienta Healthy Bakery! I was in town for a month and broke my ‘no repeat visits’ rule just for this place because it’s that good! Everything here is not only delicious; they’re also healthier, with no added refined sugars and gluten-free! If you have any allergies, dietary restrictions, or you’re from San Francisco / Los Angeles, then this is your spot to indulge without the guilt. I wish we had a bakery like this near where I live in the US. The owner and head baker is super friendly. She welcomes everyone with the biggest smile—makes you feel right at home! All the positive energy filled me with great spirit for the rest of the day. And for anyone worried about language barriers, she speaks fantastic English. My absolute favorite? The pistachio, rose, and cardamom cake—pure heaven!!! Before leaving town, I even ordered a large version of that cake to share with everyone at my CrossFit class, and it was a MASSIVE hit. Everyone loved it and wanted more. Trust me, whether you’re a local or just visiting, this is a spectacular, must-visit, healthier bakery in town!
