Review: If you ever wanted to stay in a place that's part museum part hotel/spa, this may be the place. We were met at the car and our bags were taken for us by the staff. A golf cart took us up the long winding ramp past the artwork to the reception desk. Every hallway seems to have artwork. The common areas also have art pieces. By Italian standards this is a five star hotel. By American standards it would be a four. Picky eaters will love the vegetarian and gluten free options. Marco and his staff do their best. The theme is no waste and minimum environmental impact. I was not sure about the lace thing I was going to post until I read what someone else posted and it confirmed what I experienced. The pool area is always crowded. Another poster said that people that are not staying at the hotel use the pool which now makes sense given what I saw there during my stay. Also the fact that people smoke by the pool etc.
