Review: We booked this hotel after checking out reviews and location. It was at a good location. Few minutes walk from metro station and further down found quite a few local cuisine restaurants. Due to lack of time we were unable to visit the coastline not far from the hotel. Rooms were a decent size. And had all the required amenities like tea making facility, shower gel, shower caps, soap etc. Initially they gave us a double bed but then got it changed to a twin next day. In my booking I specifically mentioned a twin bed requirement. At least they managed to find a twin bedroom next day. Staff were helpful and guided us with the help of a map. Staff arranged taxi for us on short notice. All reception staff spoke and understood English which was a plus. Breakfast wasn’t the best. Very limited variety and had the same dishes every day. The staff in the kitchen spoke limited English and was hard to communicate with them. During our stay we ordered room service once. Ordered some vegetarian options after confirming with the staff that there is definitely no meat in any of the dishes we are ordering. When the food arrived it was cold and hard to chew. We discovered that the food contained Ham after tasting it which is something we were not expecting. Spoke to the reception staff who apologised and said that she will pass our complaint to the manager. On check out no one seemed to know about our complaint. We refused to pay for the food and the check out staff member made a note and gave us the manager details to email him. We emailed almost straight away and eventually got the charges wavered off plus got a refund on city tax due to the inconvenience caused. All in all a nice decent hotel but room service was a let down. This was purely due to lack of English speaking staff who mis-understood what we ordered.
