Review: This Japanese cafe is has tons of tasty gluten free baked goods and beverages! The lemon squash soda was phenomenal and made at the store, I added matcha for some caffeine. My friend liked the coffee and we both really enjoyed the donut bites. Not a lot of seating, so I would probably plan to take this to go. They only have oat and dairy milk!

Review: One of the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. Delicious and not too sweet. We enjoyed our strawberry sandos. Lovely staff. The milky banana was so good. All gluten-free.

Review: Everything is gluten free which is exciting! We ordered the matcha mochi donuts, strawberry sando, chicken katsu sando, egg sando, and burnt basque cheesecake. The bread is super fluffy and light for the savory sandwiches. The katsu sando was a little salty for my taste, but overall the flavors were very tasty and katsu crispy. Cheesecake was good but felt like it was missing something (maybe would be better with fruit). The banana milky was okay but I probably wouldn’t order it again (bananas tasted too ripe for my preference). My favorite was the strawberry sando- which had the perfect balance of cream, fresh strawberries, and fluffy cake (tasted almost like castella)! I also liked the matcha glaze on the donuts. Definitely would come back to try the other desserts as well!

Review: To be short: get the strawberry matcha latte, skip the baked goods if you can handle gluten. My wallet was crying when I splurged $10 after tax for their strawberry matcha, but I didn’t regret it. It was so far the best strawberry matcha I’ve ever gotten in NYC. I went there at 2pm on Sunday, the store had a very long line and the inside was crowded and chaotic. We waited around 20-30 mins to order. The line became much shorter though when we left at 3pm. *Strawberry Fruit Sando $9 It was very cute-looking yet tasted underwhelming. They only put strawberry on the top and there was nothing on the bottom. The bread pores were rough, which was understandable as it was gluten-free. Every component was average. At this price point I would expect something more delicate. *Koji Basque Burnt Cheesecake $9 * The only item I’d recommend from Postcard. The cheesecake was tremendously creamy, literally melted in our mouth. The brown caramelized top was sweet and enjoyable. We didn’t know what was “koji”. I searched it afterwards and found koji (麹) is a type of soybean/malted rice. No wonder it had a naturally sweetened flavor with an umami aftertaste. *Raspberry Mochi Donut $2/pc The texture was chewy but the raspberry flavor only came from the raspberry powder coated on the surface. I wish they put raspberry creme filling. Also $2 for a bite was too bourgie for me… *Strawberry Matcha $9.5 *** As you can see, it has a higher ratio of matcha than strawberry milk. The matcha was strong and not clumpy, while the strawberry part had the perfect sweetness level (I asked for less sugar). I thoroughly enjoyed every sip of it!
