Review: It was our first time to Koh Samui and we found this resort on Google Maps. InterContinental Koh Samui is about 50 mins car ride away from the airport but it was worth it because we got to be away from the crowd. There is a mobile app that we communicate with our butler and resort team when we needed assistance or requests. We found it very useful and easy to use. Thank you to our butlers Jen and Ter for working hard to make our stay comfortable. We stayed at a beachfront villa with a private pool and deck. My wife really liked the pretty frangipani trees and the cute green lawn. The villa is located nearby the family pool, gym and activity centre where we visited everyday. Apart from the remarkable sunset view, we chose this resort as it offers complimentary kayaks. The beach shoes came in handy as several parts of the sea were rocky, especially during low tide. Our booking included club lounge access, which is a private section that faces the ocean located at the main lobby. Although the lounge has no air con, it has plenty of sea breeze and electric fans around to keep us cool. We love going to the lounge whenever we have time for the drinks and to chill. The F&B team was dedicated to making wonderful drinks and canapes. Thanks to Lisa and Mint for your sincere conversations and fantastic recommendations on places to visit nearby. We loved going to Amber restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is a casual yet classy restaurant that serves an amazing spread during breakfast. They also have delicious Thai and Indian food which we had for lunch and dinner. My wife is a vegetarian and there were several options available for her. Thank you Bewty, Bew, Gift, Nok and Four for your incredible service and attention to detail. While we had a wonderful experience staying at this resort, we found some areas that the resort can consider doing to improve the overall experience. They are: - Cleaning up the beach a little more both for the safety of guests and for the ocean. We found broken glass, plastic straws and even a diaper by the shore in front of the resort. - Include more variety of spa products at both the spa and at the gift shop. My wife had enjoyed one of the oils used during her treatment and wanted to purchase but was told that they don't carry it. The spa staff also did not seem too keen in promoting the products that were on display. Overall, we had an amazing time staying at this resort. Every service ambassador from the landscape maintenance to the kitchen crew, housekeeping and drivers made our experience truly memorable. What a delightful team! We would highly recommend this resort if you are looking to stay away from the crowd and if you enjoy kayaking, snorkeling and some quiet time.
