Review: Had some lovely gluten free food here. Good prices, nice freshly cooked food, reasonably priced gf beer too. A real gem for newly diagnosed coeliac, knowing all the food and drink is safe to eat. Dont think you should only go there if you are gluten intolerant or coeliac either. The food choices are pleasantly different to many of the more standard places on the front. Service was prompt and good and a very friendly couple running it. Try it- you wont be disappointed.

Review: What an amazing place to eat! The food was fantastic, the deserts are to die for and the selection of drinks was great. My first time trying gluten free food and I was blown away. Everything we ate was very tasty, portion size was perfect as well as the service being tremendous. Vive Libre is now our go to eating place in PDC and is a must for all the foodies, with or without gluten intolerance. Big thank you to Mike and Nicola for making our trip so special.

Review: Where do I start? Best croquettes I've ever tasted. Amazing place tucked away just behind the Costa luz shopping centre sign. I'm a coeliac, my friend isn't but we both left with extremely high opinions of this place, in all aspects. We travelled 50 minutes to this place one way and would have travelled further for it. For me, it was a safe haven, with the offering of 100% gluten free food. But if I hadn't gone there intentionally for this, I wouldn't have known. I'd actually like to nominate the croquettes for an award and I'm trying to find out how to! If anyone knows how or where please comment/let me know? Crispy on the outside, perfect texture, incredible depth of flavour, so well held together but also soft and melt in the mouth once bitten into. We went for lunch and dinner on the same day once we realised how good the food was. My friend isn't easily won over, but said the croquettes were the best they had ever tried. Likewise with the chicken burger. They said it was succulent, but crispy without being greasy and that it was the best chicken burger they had ever had. Service is friendly and complete. Very polite owners, they care a lot about their customer base and are very attentive. Just can't get over those croquettes. Vegetarian option of mushroom croquettes were on par (the chicken ones had sold out, not surprisingly when we went back later, but I wasn't disappointed at the mushroom option). The only thing that comes close to being as good is a carbonara suppli I tried in Rome, but these put that one in second place. The homemade bread rolls are soft and fluffy. Homemade sauces which went with the Canarian potatoes were colourful and fragrant. I'm so glad I went with the tapas so I could try multiple dishes, very diverse and satisfying menu. Also some specials to choose from, I didn't feel limited at all. Chips were fresh and crispy. My friend was so impressed with the chocolate fudge cake we have 2 more currently sat in the fridge. Great selection of drinks, from a simple vodka and orange to some unique to the island like cactus gin and specialty rum. The owners are such kind and friendly people, we had the opportunity to speak with them about their restaurant and find out more about the chef who is a brilliant character and has great stories/experience. An inside joke of ours is to worry/question if something is truly gluten free when we taste food which has clearly had a lot of development and skill invested. Several times we popped the question, in particular the chocolate cake and did I mention those mouth watering croquettes? They also cater for those with an intolerance to milk/dairy which was lovely - they have a brilliant understanding of customers with dietary requirements and this was mentioned in the head chef's back story. We were so surprised by how quiet it was when we visited (albeit early may, before the busy season started) given the quality of the food and the flavours/variety, as well as affordability and fantastic service. Being a coeliac myself, I might have said I was biased but I can rule that out with my fussier non-coeliac friend rating this extremely highly. If we had known it was further away from our accomodation we would have chosen a different accomodation just to be closer to Vive libre during our stay in Lanzarote. Also, the owners are very knowledgeable and gave us information about several things to do with our stay from snorkel spots to help with bus stops and all sorts. If you're passing by definitely don't pass by!! Thank you so much mark and Nicola ❤️

Review: Delicious tapas and so lovely to be able to eat somewhere where you don't need to worry about cross contamination as everything is gluten free and suitable for coeliacs. We visited twice and enjoyed everything we tried. Lots of dairy free / lactose free options (including the chocolate fudge cake!) and also options suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Food prices are also really reasonable too. Will have to visit PDC again so we can come back!
